About Milkees - Specialty Coffee & Cookies

Milkees - Specialty Coffee & Cookies brings a fresh and modern café experience to Lisboa, sitting comfortably at R. Filipe Folque 7B, 1050-110 Lisboa, Portugal. The moment I walked by the place, the relaxed outdoor seating and the smell of freshly brewed coffee immediately made it feel like one of those cafés people keep returning to during busy weekdays or slow weekend afternoons. The atmosphere feels casual without trying too hard, blending a cozy coffee spot with the energy of a stylish city café where people stop for quick bites, long conversations, or a peaceful break with cookies and espresso. Inside, the space has a clean and welcoming vibe that works equally well for solo coffee runs or laid-back meetups with friends.

What really stands out at Milkees is how naturally the menu fits different moods and routines. One visit can be all about specialty coffee and soft cookies, while another might turn into a relaxed dine-in experience with prepared foods, vegetarian options, or lighter healthy choices. The café keeps things flexible too, which makes it easy for locals and travelers alike. Some people grab takeout on the go, others settle into the outdoor area with coffee and small plates, while delivery and no-contact delivery add convenience for days when staying in sounds better. The menu also feels approachable because it balances comfort and variety without becoming overwhelming.

I also liked how the café doesn’t limit itself to only coffee culture. Alongside carefully prepared drinks, there are vegan-friendly options, quick snacks, and even beer or alcohol selections that give the place a more social edge later in the day. That mix creates a relaxed environment where someone can stop by for a morning cappuccino and another table might be sharing drinks and cookies in the evening. The overall experience feels modern, easygoing, and very connected to Lisboa’s café lifestyle, especially for anyone who enjoys specialty coffee served in a warm, stylish setting with plenty of flexible service options.

I had a batch brew and a dark chocolate cookie. The cookie is out of this world: crispy outside, chewy inside, a little bit salty, right amount of chocolate. The coffee was just delicious. I loved the vibes in this place. It was bright and sunny in the morning, many plants. I would come back any time.

Nice coffee and cookies. Coffee was not typical sour taste, I like it. I ordered white chocolate and cranberry? cookie. Just right size and sweetness. I will try other flavors next time. I also wanted to try bagel but a little pricey.

I stopped in after it caught my eye while walking past and went for a fairly simple order. The cappuccino was good and the salted chocolate cookie was really tasty. The americano, though, was not what I expected. It was a bit flavourless, almost like a diluted espresso, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was off. The matcha cookie also didn’t do it for me. I think cookies are better when kept simple. That said, I’d still come back to try some other items on the menu because they sound delicious.

This was a nice surprise to stumble upon while in Lisbon, Portugal. This quaint cafe has both an indoor and outdoor seating area. The espresso was nicely done and very tasty. Because “cookies” was in the name, I HAD to try one! And yeah… I was pleasantly surprised even with high expectations. Super soft and moist, it just melted in your mouth— clearly just out of the oven. The espresso was quite good as well. I would return any day !

I've been looking for the best cappucino near my hotel and Milkees holds the lead. While it wasn't perfect for what I was looking, it was delicious and well-executed. I would say the capp is closer to a latte, except the microfoam was very silky and lush; it was however missing the thicker foam I expect in a capp. But it was still delicious and together with the smooth espresso, it was a real winner. I also had a peanut butter, chocolate chip and salted cookie, which was also delicous.

This is a lovely cafe. I had a mocha which was great and a milk chocolate cookie that was also delicious. Lovely atmosphere and I think they also do roastery workshops.

I’m rating this place for brunch/breakfast as it was what I was looking for and there is a lot of competition in the brunch sector. The food is well made but those are things you can make easily at home in a small kitchen. Hence, at this price I would expect more. The coffee is very good though, so if you are looking for special coffee I can recommend it for that.

Such a lovely find! This café feels like a quiet little secret for true coffee lovers no need to stand in a long line just to sip something photogenic. Here, the focus is where it should be: on the quality of the coffee, the warmth of the service, and the calm, welcoming atmosphere. The beans are clearly chosen with care, and every cup is brewed with attention and intention. You can taste it. It’s the kind of place where you want to slow down, breathe in the aroma, and just enjoy the moment. If you’re tired of chasing trends and just want really good coffee made by people who care this is the spot.
